Those are repair-tier jobs — replace the valve or union, weld or seal a viable crack, test the full fill cycle. Common floats are on the van, so most finish same visit.

When the body is done, we say replace and quote it, instead of selling you a seal that fails next month. UV makes poly brittle at fittings; floats stick open and overflow for weeks before anyone checks the bill.
How We Fix It
Map every crack under load, cut out what cannot be saved, weld or seal the rest, pressure-test before the lid goes back.
Lift the lid twice a year— hairline cracks show at the waterline long before they reach the ground.
A cracked tank can fail catastrophically. Don't wait until it's empty — that's when the damage happens.
A crack usually starts at the mould seam and runs slow before it runs fast — early welds hold, late ones need a new tank.
